goofy stuff

The graphics were pretty crazy awesome, by the way. First Flash game I've actually 'finished' in some time, actually, heh.

And yeah, that flailing arm, hahaha.

Awesome, but...

... this game screams level editor, why the lack of? That would really help the short length of the game.

Did you, ya know... beta test this much?

- Holding down jump makes you keep jumping
- Shooting dead elves keeps giving you points
- Hitting water takes off 75 health (wtf...)
- Elves just kinda sit there most of the time
- Shooting in the air moves you a bit too much after awhile
- Differences in guns is not very pronounced
- No real reason or convenient ability to destroy environment
- Many, many glitches with the ground: walking in it, jumping through it, sinking into it...
- The aimer is rather unresponsive at times

Other than that, the terrain thing is really cool, just not really used...

Good concept...

But just not fun. The main attack... well... there's just no 'oomph' to it. Arrow should be hidden during gameplay, also. Oh, and about 2 minutes into it, the framerate dropped to about half a frame a second, baddies flooded the screen, I couldn't attack, and I kinda died... if that's a glitch, you might want to fix it. Too bad, too, cause the menus and all show high production qualities... besides the lack of continuity (music wise) between the logos... but that happens.

Wow

I usually hate point and click shooting games in flash, but this one was extremely well done. A few suggestions though... how about shooting things? barrels, alarms, ropes...? Timed responses, like people shooting back, more things like that guy running away?

Overall, really awesome job.

I'm speechless...

What an amazing piece of work this is! I mean, it's nothing terribly complex, but the execution was utterly top notch! Hats off, my good man, you've done what I haven't been able to do yet: create a simple yet absorbing story mode. For a quick flash game, it really was perfect. If you ever want to work on something even bigger, gimme a ring.

Very unique aiming method

I was working on a game like this, and I see you have the same problem that I have, where the ball comes back when hitting the flat sides of a bunch of blocks that are together. Oh well, good game nonetheless.

But I jumped off and nothing happened... not much in the way of programming...

while the artwork is fun and original...

the coding is really simple, in a bad way. game feels sluggish, falls to the 'keep jumping while jump held' epidemic, scrolling is too simplistic... eh okay I'll stop now... love the style, coding needs major overhaul

thanks :) I've reworked all the code for the next one. This was my first try at a platformer, I'm getting there slowly. The next game should be a constructed a little better.

I've given up keeping this update to date, just check my latest games!
